Artikel 1
Verdrag tussen de Regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en de Regering van de Italiaanse Republiek inzake de uitwisseling en wederzijdse beveiliging van gerubriceerde gegevens
1. The purpose of this Agreement is to ensure the protection of Classified Information either exchanged between the Parties, between a Party and a Contractor under the jurisdiction of the other Party or between Contractors under the respective Parties’ jurisdictions, or generated by the Parties, Contractors or Legal Entities within the scope of this Agreement. This Agreement sets out the security procedures and arrangements for such protection.
2. The provisions set out in this Agreement shall apply to any agreement, arrangement, contract or other form of co-operation involving Classified Information that will be concluded or conducted between the Parties, Contractors or Legal Entities under their jurisdiction.
3. The Parties shall take all appropriate measures under their national laws and regulations to ensure the protection of Classified Information in accordance with this Agreement.
4. This Agreement does not constitute a basis to compel the provision or exchange of Classified Information by the Parties.
