About 40 to 60% of VOC emissions from consumer products (including office products and those used in car maintenance) are from aerosols. There are three basic ways of reducing VOC emissions from consumer products:
a) Substitution of propellants and the use of mechanical pumps;
b) Reformulation;
c) Change of packaging.
