Artikel 26

Customs authorities shall not have the right to require from the guaranteeing association payment of import duties and import taxes on vehicles or component parts temporarily imported when the nondischarge of the temporary importation papers has not been notified to the guaranteeing association within one year of the date of expiry of the validity of those papers. The Customs authorities shall provide the guaranteeing associations details of the amount of import duties and import taxes within one year of the notification of the non-discharge. The guaranteeing associations’ liability for these sums shall cease if such information is not furnished within this one-year period.
